How to Access RBSNET? Access to this system is provided via Web Folders, which is a Web authoring component included in Internet Explorer 5. If Internet Explorer 5 or greater is installed, web folders can be created in Windows 98, or can be created dynamically in Internet Explorer. In Windows 2000 and XP these folders can also be created using Network places. In addition, this system can be accessed using MS Office (2000 or greater) and MS Front Page. How to Access The Web Server with Internet Explorer: Starting with IE 5 web folders can be setup within an IE browser session. Simply use File --> Open and enter the full Internet address of your web site and check the box labeled, "open as web folder". You will then be prompted for your username and password. This information will be provided by an administrator. After creating this connection, this folder will then be accessible as long as this browser session is open. You can then open Windows Explorer and copy and paste documents to and from your web site. Please be aware that if you wish to connect to another web folder you will need to close the browser, or open another instance of the browser. How to Access the Web Server with Windows Explorer (Windows 98): Open Windows Explorer (right click start, left click explore) and then left click on "my computer" at the top left. When prompted for a username enter: server name\username : This information will be provided to you by an administrator of the system. When prompted for your password please use the password provided to you by the administrator of the system. After the web folder is created you can drag and drop files to and from your web site. If you do not see this icon on your desktop, open Windows Explorer (right click start, left click explore) and look for this entry in the left hand pane of the window. After opening My Network Places, open the add network place icon and enter the web site address, your user name, and your password as provided by the administrator of this system.
